About

We are Anne & Sara Dirkse, two sisters farming a .7 acre urban plot of land in Northern Colorado. We raise chickens and ducks, and grow most of our own food in our massive vegetable garden. We can and preserve food as our family did in generations past (our great-great grandparents homesteaded in Colorado.) We teach friends and neighbors the art of planting and growing without chemicals, and the almost-lost arts of canning and preserving at home.

We also make our own body care and home cleaning products, responsibly sourced and completely free of artificial preservatives and fragrances, which we are proud to offer in our shop. We also enjoy fermenting our own ciders & wines and creating a variety of liqueurs. We’re aspiring home brewers, when we can free up the glass — we love craft beer and live in the heart of Colorado, the best beer region in the US (though we may be a bit biased)!

The concepts for our labels and stamps are inspired by our own urban homestead: selling eggs and making a variety of canned goods to put away for the winter, and of course brewing and liqueur-making. We love to work with customers on custom designs — we know how much work goes into the products you make, and we are proud to make labels and packaging to highlight that.

We print our labels, stickers and paper goods in-house, on a professional pigment ink printer with archival inks. We use high quality papers and label stock, suited to a wide variety of needs.

By supporting our store you help us support our lifestyle and our community. Thank you!

  • I was hoping you might carry the “Baa” the Wonder Sheep collection of stuffed animals made famous in the FBI office in Denver back in the 1980’s. I recall a certain little girl showing me her collection and taking the pains to explain to me why her lamb was named Baa. I just met with your parents this past week at the funeral of one of our dear friends. It was great to see Dave and your Mom and I sincerely hope to see them again in the future. I wish you all the best in this great business.
